Eyelid changes due to genetic reasons or aging give the person a tired and older appearance. As the age advances, the skin of upper lid loosens and sags together with eyebrow. On the other hand, skin sagging, wrinkles and bags under the eyes may become more evident. The operation is performed under local anesthesia. The patient may be discharged on the same day. The sutures are removed within 3 to 5 days. The patient is advised to lie at home with his/her head elevated during the first 48 hours.
