Abdominoplasty

It is a surgical procedure in which excessive fat and saggy skin are removed in the middle and lower abdominal regions and abdominal muscles are strengthened by stretching. Especially following the pregnancy, the abdominal region is deformed. Abdominal skin loosens and chaps. The connective tissue forming the abdominal wall relaxes and the abdominal wall bulges. The candidates are women and men having a relatively right body sizes but excessive fat and saggy abdominal skin which can’t be eliminated with diet and exercise. Moreover, this method is also effective in correcting abdominal shape of elderly people who lost their skin elasticity due to fatness. This operation is performed under general anesthesia and may lasts for 2 to 3 hours. The patient wears a special corset after the operation and is usually discharged on the following day.
