Breast Reconstruction

With advancing surgical techniques, it became possible to reconstruct a new breast in women who partially or entirely lost their breast tissue for therapeutic or similar reasons. Several methods of breast reconstruction are available.

These procedures performed under general anesthesia may last for 3 to 6 hours depending on the method preferred. Sutures of the patient undergoing the operation are removed within 2 weeks and the patient is advised to take rest during this period.
