Breast augmentation is a procedure to increase the volume of breast using silicon prostheses implanted under the breast tissue. The operation is performed under general anesthesia and usually takes 1 hour to 1.5 hours.
The patient is discharged on the same or following day. Following the operation, the patient may have complaint of pain that may be controlled by analgesics. The patients usually may return to their work within a few days. Results obtained are usually very natural and satisfactory.
